TERMS OF SERVICE

SAFETY: Pop Up Picnics KC will not be liable relating to injuries or illness that may occur during bookings. I am voluntarily participating in this activity. I am participating in this activity entirely at my own risk. I understand that injuries or outcomes may arise from my own or others negligence. I agree to voluntarily give up or waive any right that I otherwise have to bring a legal action against Pop Up Picnics KC for personal injury or property damage. In the event that I should require medical care or treatment, I agree to be financially responsible for any costs inquired as a result of such treatment. I am aware and understand that I should carry my own health insurance and that Pop Up Picnics KC is not reliable at any time.

LATE ARRIVALS: We will wait until you arrive to your picnic, but this will cut into your own picnic time.

LOCATION: The nature of the picnic is access to public spaces. The maps we provide to clients are meant to serve as a guide, we may take liberties with set up to allow for the best experience possible. We may move a picnic for any number of reasons, some of the most frequent are safety, privacy (we cannot control who will be in a public space and when,) access to shade, views and other reasons. We cannot guarantee an exact location although we will do our best to acquire access to said location. If we cannot garner access, we will set up in another suitable location nearby. All local rules, signs, laws and other permissions apply. Namely, glass and alcohol are not allowed at most Kansas City parks. We cannot guarantee privacy, these are public spaces, as such there will be people.

WEATHER: All reservations are weather permitting. In the event of rain, we will do all we can to accommodate a dry picnic either by moving the location or by rescheduling you to another day or time. No refunds will be issued for weather-related changes. All reservations require 48 hours advanced notice and must be paid 48 hours in advance or they will be cancelled.

FOOD: Please be sure to let us know of any food sensitivities before booking. Please know that we prepare food in a kitchen where cross-contamination is possible. We cannot guarantee cross-contamination won’t happen. Pop Up Picnics KC nor their food vendors will not be liable relating to injuries or illness that may occur during bookings. I am voluntarily participating in this activity. I am participating in this activity entirely at my own risk.

SAFETY: We take the utmost care in cleaning and maintaining furniture and decor items. Please only use these items in the manner which they were intended.

DAMAGES: If any items are damaged or missing, you will be subject to pay for the cost of item plus any additional fees. Please remember, these items are vintage and rare to find. These cannot be replaced by just purchasing at a store.
If you would like to add extra attendees to your picnic, please let us know ahead of time. We will charge for any extra person(s).

PHOTOS: By taking photos, you allow us to post on our social media accounts and any promotional materials we may produce in the future. All photos are the sole property of Pop Up Picnics KC and will be used at our discretion. 

CANCELLATION + REFUND POLICY: We don’t offer any refunds but we will reschedule your picnic or issue a credit with enough advance notice.

  • For parties of 2, 3 or 4 guests: No refunds. Full credit up to 72 hours in advance. 72 hours-12 hours, we charge a 50% cancellation fee. Same-day cancellations and no shows will not be issued a credit.
  • For parties of 5-24 guests: No refunds. Changes and cancellations made 1 week or more in advance will be issued a full credit; 7 days-2 days in advance, we charge a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations within 48 hours will not be issued a credit.
  • For parties of 25+ guests: No refunds. Changes and cancellations made 2 weeks or more in advance will be issued a full credit; cancellations or changes made within 14 days of the picnic will not be issued a credit.

PRICING/PACKAGES: We are allowed to update pricing or make any changes on our website anytime. Pricing and packages are subject to change.

On the day of your picnic, we will send you a drop pin location to the contact number you have provided. If you do not have this function on your phone, please contact us.
